video Ice link and bmw
 

Hi everyone, I ordered the new Ice link for the ipod connection with my X5 but the dealer just informed me they are having problems with the X5 models. Sound is ok but video transmission is defective !!! anyone know if this true ?:)

Where are you displaying the video to? You would need a VSM to display it onto the NAV screen.

Hi Tom, don't know what a VCM is but If you mean a breaker to activate the navigator screen during driving I have allready installed that and works ok.

I would probably contact your retailer for a replacement - it sounds liek the module would be defective from your description.

No, thats not it . I have ordered the ice link which connects to bmw's navigator screen and also plays video from the 5th generation Video iPod. But I was told that video transmision feature only to bmw models is not working, and that they "Ice link manufacturer " is trying to figure it out ?

All I'm asking if that's true. Does anyone have video from i-pod to navigator's screen ?

We have been doing this for a little over a year now with our VSM modules, without the issues the ice>Link pieces are having.

You have the option of using your iPod or a fixed DVD player as a video source.
