How do you guys feel about replica wheels?
 

I'm looking to buy some from ebay and was wondering what you guys feel about them or any past experiences?

Don't have any personal experiance with them but you must make sure that the wheel offset is the same as genuine wheels or else you will get tyre scrubbing, tramlining and balance issues. Other then that I hear they are OK, just a bit heavier.

I have ONLY heard bad experiences about them, and I have seen it first hand as well...Nowadays, with ebay and the rest, it is almost ALWAYS possible to find a nice OEM set of the replicas you're looking at for around the same price. Almost all the rep's Ive seen started to "pit" and crack after very little time...Also, theres no regret when buying the OEM's..Even if you pay more, you KNOW you 've got a good product..With replica's, you find an OEM set two days after you buy yours for the same price, and its NEVER a good feeling...Just do some good research before purchasing..GL! :thumbup:

Have a look at the wheelexchange as well. Good deals there, and brand new wheels. Talk to John, he'll hook u up.

I have had a set of replicas since I bought the X, no issues. It really depends on who you buy from. As with everything, you get what you pay for.

i've had replicas for the last few years and they've been no problem.

Would the same comments apply to wheels from TireRack, etc. Planning to get winter set/rims.
