They look damn nice!!! Do the OEM running boards really stick out farther than the stock plastic trim??

Yes, I'd say about two inches more, you have to replace the trim from wheel well to wheel well ( it comes with the running boards)

They do stick out a little but very little. Not enough to rub the back of your leg when exiting the vehicle.
