60F unless it's cold but never above 68F.

I don't even pay attention to the climate control. I just change the dots on the vents. If I want it cold then 3 blue dots. If I want it hot then 3 red dots. It's not like the climate control makes a difference anyways.

mine is always on 60 60 it bugs me when its not like that

Also how can i make it hot because it is about to get cold, what is the best way to get heat fast no mater what

I completely agree with this. The selected numbers have little effect in comparison to my previous Volvo V40. Lucky that those red and blue dots work so well.

I'm also really fussy about keeping the two sides so that they always match. Don't touch my dials!

Me too. :beerchug: ... and I keep mine at 65º

75, fan speed 1, and it still is freezing

Auto is Always on when I don't have the thing completely shut off, and I try to keep the A/C off because I swear that I can feel the draw on the motor when it is on. I like both sides set at the same number and I stick the "funky coloured dots" in the center. Tempertures range from 68 to 72 degrees. In the summer it gets turned down to 65 degrees and i just live with less power.:p Heated seats feel great on a 38 degree morning.

It's 68F and auto most of the time. If I just get in on a cold day I might turn it to 70 or 72F, but it doesnt make a huge difference. I do turn it all off if the weather's good and my windows/moonroof is open.

This poll is awesome as I was just starting to wonder how the X5 system works.

72 both sides, auto, a/c on, the recirc button with the 'A' in the middle (left one) are my settings.

But what does this mean?
Does my X blow what it thinks is 72 (may as well be a dial)? or does it take into consideration the cabin temp?
With a/c on with auto selected, does this mean that a/c is always on, or on when needed?
The recirc with the 'A' in the middle, is this auto recirc?
Does what I have set in the front have any bearing on what comes out of the vents in the rear?
What is the mentality of the engineers on this system?
Why is there no quick way of shutting the whole system off? I mean why is there no 'OFF' button?

Isn't this covered in the "Air conditioning" section of the owner's manual?
