Dension ICElink plus install - lost bluetooth
I've just installed the ICE link plus into my 2006 BMW X5 E53. iPod works fine but I've lost the bluetooth connection to my phone (it connects to the phone but there's no audio, so I can dial a number but I can't hear the voice on the phone). I've transferred the ICElink pins over to the original BMW connection on the radio module as per the instructions.
Can anyone tell me what the wiring configuration in the radio module connection should be with the ICElink and the original pins in place (ie what cable colours should be in what positions)? I want to check I haven't made a mistake in transferring the pins across. Unless anyone knows something else that could be causing this? Thanks! |
Dont worry you can get it back just the crap connectors that come with UK Ice Links. All you have to move some wires around to get it to work. Or you can do what I did and get the trunk lead from the states just plugs into the leads that come out of the changer. Here is the link to Tom's site Although I am sure he will be along here soon.

Thanks for that. Will try fiddling with the wires to see if I can get the bluetooth working. Grrrrr.
Would also be helpful if anyone can tell me what the wiring configuration in the radio module connection should be with the ICElink and the original pins in place (ie what cable colours should be in what positions)? Thanks... |

Tom, so this cable will connect to the 6 wire plug and 3 wire plug which I unpluged from my CD changer?
I have a 10.2004 euro X5 (UK spec) with NAV,TV,CD changer. I did not find the radio module in the boot. also the 2 plugs in the back of the monitor do not look like the square connector/adapter which came with my Ice>link. Looking forward for your reply |

The ice>Link connections overseas connect direct to the radio tuner using a quadlock connector, we just do things a different way. :) |
how much is the postage to Europe for DICE?
