adaptive headlights
I have the bi-xenon headlights. Is there any way to make this an adaptive one? Like adding a module or something? Or should I change the whole headlight assembly?

That's the only way you'll get adaptive headlights on an X5. Sorry. |

I've got something called "automatic headlamp control*" in my 2002 X.
In the manual it says : When the switch is set to this position the system automatically activates or deactivates the low beams in response to changes in ambient light (in tunnels, at dusk, etc.) as well as in rain and snow. (page 100 in the 3.0 manual) And that you can have the sensitivity of this function adjusted. Is this what you're talking about? |
late build '04's and newer have adaptive xenon's.

I am sure there is a way to install the adaptive headlights but as with everything else, the cost would be huge....they use all sorts of inputs to control the angle of movement / yaw control ect so I'm sure it would be more cost effective to buy an x5 with adaptive headlights installed
