Big Maintenance Day
 

On Saturday I changed my oil, replaced my front rotors, and changed spark plugs. Everything went well thanks to the DIY threads on X5world.
I do the oil every 10K (Amsoil 5w-30). The rotors were pulsing at higher speed brake application. I went to Brembo's at $70 versus BMW's $140.
Spark plugs looked OK at 70K miles but I thought to change them to be safe. Total time: 5 hours, only had to swear once, dropped a socket to the bottom of the engine bay and needed to remove the cowl to find it.

Great job, and so much more satisfying than handing over the big bucks to the dealer.
