Lifted X5
 

Hey everyone I am new and considering getting a X5. I was wondering if anyone has modified there X5 for offroading?? lifed with big tires....etc. I am looking for pics, I tired the search option but didn't find anything.

The BMW motorbike team that took part in this years Paris-Dakar rally used a slightly modified 3.0 diesel X5. Roll cage, stripped interior, straight through exhaust, custom suspension and proper off-road wheel and tyres.

There was a video going around showing this car, but I can't find it, hopefully someone can point you in the right direction.

I have always wondered if anyone on here ever put off-road tires on the X. A buddy of mine siad he saw one here in Atlanta that had terrain tires and a Yak rack on it and said it looked great. I know this is considered a performance vehicle, but I am really curious on how it would look as a utility vehicle.

Just watch the fifth gear video... I'm certainly looking into doing that if I get an X5 but I am a little surprised that no one tried this on here?? Maybe when more people see this thread they will post there pics.

I also have been thinking about it, I´ll do some research....
