Kidney Installation

Anyone have the instructions on taking out the kidney grill and installing new ones?

I did this when I added Titanium grills. If you look closely you will notice that each kidney is made of a silver outer ring and a vertical slat grill. The silver ring goes on the outside of the opening and locks into the vertical slats with a series of tabs and slots. The hard part is removing the existing grill without breaking the tabs that have a one way barb. You can do this with two flat head screew drivers one to hold the barb down and one to push it through the slot. Installing the new grill is literally a snap. The parts just snap together on either side of the kidney opening which is too small for them to fit through.

Good Luck

Count how many tabs are on the ground after you're done. The one with the most wins! LOL...;)

does anyone know if painting your grill looks as good as the real titanium girlls? i'm this close to buying the titanium grill and the hood parts as well but it just seems a little too expensive. i'm wondering if painting them looks good
