X5 diesel- bumper conversion to 4.8iS

Hello,

Has anyone expercience with adding the diffusor of a 4.8is rear bumper to the rear bumper of a 3.0d? According to my dealer this would be almost impossible; a full remplacement of the bumper would be the only option cause the two bumpers would be too different to match the diffusor.
Thanks for help!;)

A member with black X5 3.0 had done this. Search the forum.

A few of us,including myself, have done this mod.The 4.8/4.6is rear body kit(diffusor,as you call it),consists of 3 pieces,an underbumper spoiler which needs to be screwed on and the side pieces which are just sprung onto this.
Dealers sometimes are reluctant to sell you this because they normally always ask you for your chassis number when you order something, but you can always give them a 4.6/4.8 chassis number and then they will order it.

As far as I know the 3.0D and 4.8 are very similar and as far as I know the only difference(apart from the kit ,of course) is that the 4.8 bumper comes pre-drilled to facilitate the install of the standard kit(diffusor)...

I suppose the OEM-partnumbers are:
51127062599: cover left
51127062600: cover right
51127062601: rear body kit

Does this include all needed bolts and nuts?

YES.You will just need to get some self-tapping screws....
