Gray Headliner
 

Hi;
I got a Gray headliner on a black interior! Is there anyway that I can change the gray headliner to black without taking the whole thing out? Can I paint it with something!

I'm pretty sure that you'd have to take the whole thing out.. You can't paint it.

EDIT: You know that you're SUPPOSED to get the gray headliner with the black interior, right? Are you sure you want to change it? It might make the interior VERY dark and depressing.

I couldn't agree more a black headliner would make the car seem smaller inside, it is the same reason that people paint their ceiling a lighter color than the walls.

I'm so glad my 3er has the headliner gray.. I don't like the black interior much at all, but at least it's broken up a little.. I think it's way too dark as it is, which is why I'm getting birchwood trim.

Painting is probably not what you want to do. However if you have a good upholstery shop near by you can have them re-cover your headliner in virtually any color and material. As part of my ongoing "Project Alcantara" I had my headliner covered with OEM Alcantara and it came out very well (many people have looked at it and assumed it's OEM) ....

My entire interior is black, headliner included, and I don't have any problem with it, it doesn't feel dreary or cramped or dark... in fact, one of the reasons i got the sport package was for the black headliner, it makes everything flow. I even have the dark black anthracite wood trim.
