Wheel speed sensor

MyAbs and stability light came on again. Also the speedometer has stopped working. Last time it was a wheel speed sensor. How difficult is this to change?

Actually it's very easy to change. Just unplug and remove the old and replace it with the new. The trick is knowing which one has gone bad.

UCrew,

How fortuitous this post is since you helped with my P1501 fault code. Let me ask this question. Let's say that the problem on my X5 is a wheel speed sensor. Can I not buy one new sensor and replace it in each wheel one at a time until I find the bad part? Granted, it might take some time but wouldn't that be one way to fix this issue?

Thanks again for your input on my post earlier today!!!! :)

Honestly, I'm sure whether or not it is the same part for all 4 wheels. If they are the same then this approach seems logical to me.

I think front and rear are different part numbers. I don't know about left and right.

Front and rear pulse generator sensors are different, but left and right front and rear are the same!
