Yes, if I press up from inside the car where the front glass section meets the rear glass section I can feel movement and can suppress the rattle if I push hard enough...

Mine is the same as this, and the recalibration didn't fix it..

Bump...

Sorry to bump this back up, but there are a few of us still hoping for some divine inspiration here! I been think about this and would like to try get the entire cassette out of the roof so that I can inspect it, does anyone know if this can be done without dropping the roof lining, and if so, any step by step info? I have seen info on dropping the roof lining but it seems quite a fiddly jobs and I would not like to do this if I don't have to.

You have to remove the roof lining. I heard that it is not hard to do though. Some people have said that it takes them about an hour to do.

Mine rattles. Drivers side back corner I can push up. Passenger side back corner is secured. This is the source of my rattle, tilted or closed.

Where's this screw??

I have the exact same issue as OP and it drives me nuts.
like all else say, when large glass is tilted or opened its not an issue. Only when closed does the glass sheet vibrate/bounce over bumps and if I hold my palm to the glass sheet and press while driving over bumps its noise free.
So something is moving, but I can not track where and it seems as if a screw has loosened, but again I can not find anything showing. I tried removing accordion boots tos ee if screws are loose but nope. Must be something behind the roof pannel :(
I know its definitely not my sliding fabric pannel.

gonna order the perimeter seal and try to replace it (think its part # 54107199533 for the entire perimeter of the pano moon roof opening). Will let you know if it solves the problem of "rattling roof over bumps, but goes away once I press up on glass with my hand".

but the more I read, the more it seems to be a loose screw/cassette issue, where I have to drop the head liner :(

I have a 2003. I have felt this screw with my finger. You have to squeeze your finger in between the frame of the sunroof and the headliner. Its a screw bouncing around.

You either remove the headliner to tighten it or put a dab of glue on your finger and hold it there until it dries. Otherwise you will get it on the sun roof cover when you remove your finger.

I believe the pano roof issue is a different problem

I just hd my headliner out last weekend and not a single screw was loose. I'm at a loss

Going to try the rest to see if it works...

Mine is definitely not the loose screw issue.

The front glass piece (pano roof) rattles. You can feel it bouncing up and down when you hit small bumps. It also seems to make the noise only around 40-60 MPH which unfortunately is the speed I'm normally driving to work.
