Final stage resistor, replaced.
3 Attachment(s)
So I was getting all the symptoms of a bad sensor, erratic air flow from vents was the first symptom and then eventually the fan just stopped working all together, however the rear vents were still working.
I used the search button for more info and I decided to follow the advise from all you fine people here and the DIY on the home page. Replacing the sensor wasn't bad, everything started working properly with the new unit, it took me about 1/2 hr. and the part cost me $70 with an internet coupon. Here are some pics of the sensor: The new sensor is the one on the right and is much smaller than the old one. |
Good job:thumbup: Thanks for the pics.

Nothing like saving a few bucks. Great work

Try this. |
I had the same problem too after owning a used 01 4.4 for a day. Replaced it locally. Part and labor was abt 90 dollars. Now it runs great.
