Pictures of my washed my X5. It rained the following day  I used Mother’s Powerball on the Wheels. Sterling Grey rocks. Stratus would be nicer :)

Now I need to figure out how to open up my driver side lamp enclosure to clean the dirt….any tips?

Looks great!! As for the headlight, I heard they are un openable. Check the FS forum. Last time I checked, someone was selling a mint condition 04 headlight.

Ill change to euro head light if i were you might as well :D

Thanks Jay330Ci. It has dynamic lights so I'm figuring it'll be quite expensive to change it out. I'm having a BMW technician come over so hopefully he'll figure out how to get it open.

Nice pics! I love that color. Is that a radar detector? Where is it mounted? It seems to be on the passenger's side of the windshield.

Curious Joel, yes it is. Although they are legal in California, it is not legal to mount anything on the windshield, which I have. I put it in front of the passenger so that it's out of my way and not visible at all from rear window. The power comes from the glove compartment flashlight switched power source.

I am taking a trip to california this weekend, and I have my radar detector set under the rear view on the windshield. Should I not do this then??

Here is what the law says:

Quote:

Article 26708. (a) (1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows.
I see plenty of cars with gps, radars, and notepads stuck to their windshield with suckers. The reality is that a cop will NOT stop you for it, NOR give you a parking ticket. I see tons of Five-O here and I have never been stopped. However, if you get pulled over for speeding or another violation, they may tack on an extra fine. Discretely rip it down as you pull the car over...

Mine was a 06/2004 model. It'll be written on the lens "adaptive xenon". Not sure when the cut over date was.
