I switched from an 03 M3 to a 4.8is..
 

I am mostly content with the decision. The 4.8 is great to drive and holds the nessessary gear. I tow a boat with it as well...

The only negative I can think of is mushy auto tranny.

I traded in my 03 4.6is for an 06 M3 competition package. Sometimes I miss my X when I see another 4.6, but still I love the M/// Both are excellent cars both are bmw's!!
