Intro

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

Firstly, UCrew, X5world is great, I have used it a fair bit. I have hung around other boards, but thought it was time to register here with the new forum and all that this group has been doing.

I am in Vancouver Canada, and thought that all the recent board focus on the snow in Toronto needed some balance. Think of Vancouver as California North. The cherry blossom trees are out here this week, and the roadster has been on the road for a month now.

I'm not much into mods, but I like all cars, BMWs in particular. I firmly believe that the BMW I6 is one of the best engines made (I just keep buying them....). Now all the 4.4/4.6/4.8 owners can shoot me down.

Cheers

Welcome. I drive a 3.0 I6 in my 3 series. I had the 4.4i V8 in my X5 and I miss soooo much! The sound, the torque... I miss everything but the fuel economy! :wow:

Welcome also. I love my 3.0 as well. The engine is silky smooth and is a bit of a growler as well. Nobody will shoot you down here. Might be the occasional :flame: , (not really). Great group of guys here.

California North? :wow: Yeah minus the sunshine and you forgot to mention it rains there just about 5 days out of the week. :stickpoke

Wecome!

Whistler wasn't much this year, apparently. Not enough white stuff. Looking forward to the 2010 Olympics up there. Ever get up in the BC interior? Took the family to Red Mountain near Rossland this year, zero lift lines, great snow, sunshine. I'm a Red Mountain fan.

Thanks for the welcome.

Jeff

Naw, you must be thinking of all those other years. Driest February for years. But, having lived in the real north for some years, I do know what winter is. We used to refer to it as 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad sledding (very old joke). Lots of time spent north of Edmonton, Alaska Highway, Yukon, and NWT back before Nunavut.

And hey, this is what Vancouverites and eastern Canadians do, right! :)

Thanks for the welcome.
