you can get the obdii scanner on ebay .for $40.00 i just bought one had same problem. easy fix.

Which AutoXray model should we have, 4000, 5000 or 6000? I called the grand Auto and they said 4000 model cost about $259.00 , 5000 model is $359.00 and 6000 model is $699.00
