Cracks in wood trim

Anyone else had this problem? Basically they are tiny cracks in the wood trim particularly on the doors... enough to be noticeable and they run right across the trim piece. Don't seem to be ocurring on the console wood at all.

Obviously should be a warranty issue but I expect my dealer will pretend not to have ever seen it before... blah blah blah so thought I'd ask around first. Takes forever to get into a dealer around here so want to be prepared as much as possible.

I only noticed them the other day, it had been -25C or so (-13F) so kind of suspect the cold may have caused it.

I haven't seen it happen but it definitely could. Is it cracking in the finish or is it through the wood itself? It's a pretty thin veneer of wood on an aluminum plate that plugs into mounting holes on the door. It should take more than 2 minutes to replace if they have the part ready.

Mine has cracks all in it, but they were there when I got it.

Cracks in wood

I had this same problem with my drivers door on an 05 4.4. I took it to the dealer and they replaced at n/c.

None on my door, all in the center console. Very odd. Wasn't there when I bought the truck, now they seem to be poping up. I did notice the other day my wife told my 4 year old to climb between the seats to get something. Hmm..might be the reason why mine are now cracked........

It's real, it's very very thin, but real.
