Question for those with Passport Hardwired
 

(Thanks Chris F for the writeup on the main page, I'll follow that this weekend when I start the install.)

Question - Did you cut the end off the wire from the cigarette lighter power cord or use a different wire? I don't want to cut the end off that if there is a better way.
