can i use the 2006 x5 front grills on a 2003 x5
 

hi i noticed that 2004-2006 x5 models have slightly different front grills than a 2003 x5. is possible for me to use the newer front grills on my 03 x5? thnx :)

ps - if i can then where can i get them? internet or dealer?

No the hood is a different shape and the nose smaller so the facelifted grills will not fit.

I think you would have to get them custom made. I would LOVE to have the 04-06 grills on my 01, but they don't exist.

Those are still facelifted grills as some facelifted X's came out in 03 so the wont fit a NON facelifted X.

sry im a noob at the moment, what do u mean by facelifted x? i assume it means older model x with newer model hood?

Yeah the facelifted X is the one with the updated front end, and bits on the interior. There are some who got a facelifted X late 03 so it can be a bit confusing when looking at parts. If you read the add for the grills on ebay, that Blue Mountain Raider posted, the guy clearly says for 03 to 06 facelifted X!!

unfortunately not, you need a new hood, fenders, bumper, and a new set of lights to go with that, as well ...
