Got the first Speed Ticket today on the X5

I was driving on 280N bound to Michigan from 70 Turn pike. Suddenly, there was a reduce speed to 45mph where red barels. I was caution where I was going so I slow down to speed limit, then quater mile distance there were another 35 zone, and the freaking city cop right there and he followed me for a minute and and decide he should pulled over or not then he did. I told him that I was going 45 mph why did he pull me over he gave me the radar with 60mph display. I could not believe it that my radar valentine did not goes off for that. I was only beeping with warning but not brrrrrrrr.... I am pissed with this crooked cop. I am going to Toledo Court and fight for this because this cop was very kinda pushhhy... He pulled me over and asked, where is your driver licence, where is your proof of insurance? The hand me a ticket and told me to paid $188 bucks and trouble will go away. What ta hell, the 25 miles differents should be $133.00 but he suggested the payment to $188. Freaking Ohio cops, bunch of crook. They ain't catching the bad guys but try to fullfill the Quota by accused people drive fast when they did not. This is not right.

$188 isn't bad at all. I got a ticket for going 8mph over, and it was $112. He was probably using a laser.

He may have been using POP or KU band. Older V1 do not react to POP and even then if you are the only vehicle too bad they got ya! KU needs to be enabled for warning.

With the latest and oldest tech radar, laser and ladar detectors are usless. The new tech is two little tripods they set up on the side of the road at a fixed distance apart. They have light sensors that pick you up as you drive by. They then send their signals to the cruiser box which computs your speed.

The old tech is a known distance and a stop watch. Lancaster, PA just spent $1500 on ten units for their force.

Happy Motoring,
