I just purchased a '04 4.4 Alpine White X5 for the wife. Had her in an Infiniti FX previously. My daily driver is a modestly modded Audi S4 (b5).

At any rate, we already love the X, but we want to do the 4.8 front and rear and have been looking for a fair price. I have seen as little as ~400 for the front bumper in a few post (mainly ebay items), but when I check creiverbmw.com, which appears to be highly recommended, I see $680 for the front and $587 for the rear-without paint. Pacific BMW's website sux, as they don't have a part no. lookup function. So, where is the best (cheapest) place to ge the kit? Can it be ordered painted? Does anyone have a complete list of the part numbers needed? Thanks!!!

Call Jr. or Kevin at Crevier directly and let them know you are from X5world. BTW, :xoutpost: , I'm impressed that you only have 3 posts and you already signed up for Premier membership. FYI, this board is unlike many others, you typically will not find re-post police or RTFM comments here. We are very proud of that. Enjoy your stay

Wow..That MR2 is out of sight!...I had to laugh since I sold quite a few of them in Japan and here, and they looked nothing like yours!..heres most have rust, seals are bad, etc....I had a couple of Japanese exports over here as well, and they scare me to drive even with the stock stuff under the hood!...I can only imagine how that thing runs..:wow:

You all must have better luck with Crevier than I do - I have emailed them twice for some pricing and have yet to receive back a response. Why give an email option if you are not going to use it??

Thanks for all of the info guys! I'm going to call Creiver tomorrow. The only other mods so far are the style 87's in 20". We're also looking into the various DVD entertainment systems. So far, the Invision system looks to be the best. Are there any "x5world friendly" dealers in the Southeast?

I haven't clocked the MR2 in the 1/4 mile with the current power level. It ran a 13.1@116 with 380whp a couple of years ago. It was my first time at a drag strip, and I was running regular street tires. It basically spun through the first couple of gears. Now, with the Toyo RA1's (r-compound) once heated up, on the street, it will start to hook up towards the top of second gear. With the new setup (reworked cylinder head-larger valves and lighter components) it should make 575-600whp. I'm hoping that this, along with different gearing, should allow for a 175+mph run in the standing-mile event in April (Top Speed Challenge: http://www.ecta-lsr.com/?page_id=21).

As far as the Premier member thing goes, I figured I should go ahead donate to the cause. This is a really nice forum and I plan to use it extensively. I've been on just about everyday since we got the X5! Thanks again!
