Looks Great!!!!
Now I need some help - since I have 4 days off of work, I have started this project. I have one headlight already opened up and the other one is about to go into the oven. I used epoxy to attached the rings to the black trim inside the headlight. What did you all use?? Also, if you used epoxy, did you glue it all the way around the ring or did you just attach it at a few different points?? |
We used silicone gel to glue. We glued all of the way around and used some double-sided tape at the top of the rings. The glue didn't work too well with the waffle lenses removed, I'm not sure how it would be if you kept them.
Are you keeping the waffle lenses or are you removing them? |
I am removing the waffles. The ones I tacked yesterday are holding pretty good, but I will feel better about them if I go ahead and apply it all the way around.
Now my next problem - I ended up getting the headlight sealant on the side of the chrome (where the blinker is) and when I tried to remove it took the chrome off. I might end up having to put the amber lenses back on to cover this up. GRRRRRRRR!! |

OK, working on the wiring. It says to hook the pink wire to the red/ white wire from the ECU. Is the ECU the white box mounted to the outside wall of the driver's footwell???
Based on this wiring, it appears that the angel eyes will be on anytime the vehicle is on. Has anyone ever wired these into say the parking lights to where they only come on when the lights are on?? |
Hey Mari...
I have a question about your AE's. Since you removed the waffle lenses, have other drivers been flashing their highbeams at you? |
