Auto Lock

Does anyone know what I need to do to have the doors automatically lock when I put the car in drive (or reach a certin speed) ?

Thanks in advance..

I think that you need to have the dealer program that for you.

kinda of off topic here but is it really difficult for u to lock urself?

Nope not at all. But the auto lock is an option people like which must be done at the dealer. Of course if you start off with a good relationship with a dealer sometime things like that they will just do without charge. But you gotta be nice. ;)

Well considering my Mustang auto locks, I would expect the X to do the same. Ahh, remember the good ol' days when you had to crank your windows and actually reach across to the passenger side to unlock the door?

Those good ol'days are still here, for some car models:
TheCEO & I had a fineazz Chebby Aveo, (cool name, huh?!),
rental...for the Palm Springs WestFestMeet in late Oct.

Other than those manual door locks, manual window cranks
and that fine "not quite NYC taxi yellow", it was a minor hit
at the meet.

Who on the planet buys this thing, when it comes off the
car rental lot?!

The dealer can do it for you. Mine did it for free for me!

I'm not as big as you are, Big R...but I looked
like one of those 20 clowns climbing out of that
lil'POS, like they do at the circus.

Fine stick-on, plastic wheel covers, too!

The key has to be programmed by the dealer to make the autolock happen once you hit 5mph. Cost me $100 for both keys. They also program running lights to come automatically and remember seat position/steering wheel position with each key which is handy if two people drive the car...at different times of course!
