There is a God!!!! I recently posted a thread in regards to purchasing an extended warranty for my X5 and getting input from those who have purchased one, but I got no responses.

Is Warranty Direct reliable? Has anyone else had ezperiences with any other warranty companies? Does anyone have Auto Advantage?

The fact they paid the tab in full without any hassle, phone calls or paperwork is pretty sweet. The cost of the part, diagnostic fee, all labor charges were all covered.

Felt just like having a factory warranty but the SA was more eager to push to repair everything then the standard "NO DEFECT/FAULT FOUND" excuses. Not sure if they benefit more from a 3rd party warranty then BMW Factory. Overall, the SA was experienced with WD and knew the exact process.

Is this with Warranty Direct, or another company?

No beef, but you haven't been reading here, very carefully or,
using Search, or paying much attention, imo. There are pages
of posts on "Ext Warr.", types of Ext Warr., "CPO Warr.", "Ext Maint.",
"Warranty Direct", (the company currently on Topic, and linked a dozen times), etc.

I take umbrage with your remark...there are, by my reading, a handful
of us that currently have Warr.Direct's coverage; from memory, a couple-three have
had to "use it" thus far, all with success. There is not a long history to report by any
of us that are covered. The anecdotal info is good, thus far.

Since you seem to be beyond the mileage of what your local Stlr will "cover" for a BMW
Ext Warr., from your initial post, and are looking for one, I REC'D Warranty Direct.

However, they may tell you no thanks, as they used to have a policy that req'd the
orig. oem warr. to be in effect; that may have changed.

Hit the link, (posted several times previously), ask, call them up, quit wringing your
hands and good luck.

We are all here to help each other; damning by faint praise and innuendo, esp. when
it is inaccurate, wins no friends.

Thanks for your input, but as I stated in previous emai I am new to the forum so therfore I have never used the "Search" option before.

I'm not sure what the actual meaning of your comment was in regards to not paying attention, but from my understanding we are free to ask questions as long as others are being respectful to others in the process.

Anyways, thank you for your informative response.
