My new intake...

Just finished installing my new intake.
Its a BMC CDA intake
It was an easy install...took about an hour to complete (did an oil change too)

Here's the pics (click on it to enlarge)

My next goal is to clean up the mounting bracket, and try to feed a hose from the stock air feed to this intake opening.

Test drove the car, butt dyno cant really tell much difference, but the car did feel abit zippy. Its not too loud too, can hear the intake slightly at higher RPMs.

any tips/advice to mounting it better? and running the hose is much appreciated.

thanks
franklin

looks good,
like you said i'd try getting a feed from where oem comes from, so you won't suck hot/warm air from the engine bay

thanks.
dont think its a popular brand in the US....think mostly in europe.
But the filter actually fits the euro e36 M3 and i just retrofitted it to the X5...(has the same 3.5in HFM)
