While everyone is pleased with these wiper blades have you tried Aquapel by PPG? Its like rainx but you dont have to constantly reapply.

It takes 10 minutes to apply and lasts forever. My windshiled still beads and runs off - its been approx a year since I last reapplied. Never had wiper shudder or any noise from the wipers.

You can get them off ebay for about $5 bucks - just FYI.

I've been to both the local Autozone and Kragen Auto Parts - both carry Bosch wipers, but not Icon's. But my old blades were streaking so badly and didn't want to buy just any replacement blades, so last month I bought a 4 feet length of Bosch rubber and did it the old-fashioned way, I cut the inserts to length. I'll probably need to replace them within a year's time as the SoCal heat tends to eat up blades.

I'll check out the online suggestions and report my buying experience.

I just got a complete set of Valeo blades from Tire Rack. They're still doing the 2 for 1 deal so a pair of Valeo wiper blades is $20 plus shipping. You can't beat that. I also ordered a couple of the 18" rears and got the updated metal arm for the rear window and installed it all.

The Valeo blades look excellent and as KewlX5 has pointed out, Valeo supposedly makes them for BMW under the name "SWF". I compared the Valeos with the OEM blades on my E90 and they look identical in every way except for the SWF markings.

Valeo and SWF are a family, I believe Valeo bought SWF, so that makes sensce.

off the net. Otoh, we won't see much rain here
in our winter joint until we get back on the Mtn
in mid April. And, the FLA sun just beats on rubber
wipers.

OMG - The rear wiper blade actually hits the entire surface of the rear window evenly. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE  I'm impressed with the ICONS after only using the washer. Should be great in the snow although I prefer to assume and not know first hand

Michelle - before you say it.....

 :)
