wow. for my 2001 4.4 the best i can get on a long freeway cruise averaging 80 mph is the low- to mid-18s.

my rolling average for freeway and town is around 14ish.

my town-only driving is 13s.

I usually hover in the 290-325 range before light comes on and I do 100mph every day..........:nanana:

ok yeah so in miles i get between 280-320 around town, and around 400-450 on the freeway

Franklin, get use to it....it's tough out here on these mean Houston streets. I'm getting about 365-375 out of a tank full in my 4.6is. That's about 15.5 to 15.7....give a take a few trips in manual mode........Phil

20mpg!!!??? I don't know what you guys are doing (driving downhill both ways?) but over the past year I averaged beween 13.9 and 17.4 mpg. My usual seems to be about 15.5mpg. Oh, and it's a 2005 4.4.

i just filled up today...287miles and filled up 20.8 gallons = 13.8mpg...i guess its still within the specs. Maybe i have a heavy foot.
after a month of owning the X5...i'm looking at my gas bill on my CC...Yikes...pretty high.

Damn! I must be pullin' my Landcruiser behind my 4.6, cuz I ain't seeing numbers nothing like you guys! Perhaps it is the Hamann equipments......

Franklin, make sure to check your tire pressure and oh yeah....the mini...man that thing is a blast to drive. I didn't think it would be this much fun to drive. One more thing....all of you single guys and ladies will be able to increase your gas mileage with a one quick mod....take the " I don't know where I'll sleep tonight" bag out of your X....I'm sure that weighs in at 50+ lbs.:rofl:....Phil
