Rear washer

My rear washer wasn't working this morning. The fluid trickled/dripped out at best. Can this be temperature related? It didn't happen during the cold weather last year.

Obviously you checked the level of fluid.
May be a clogged line.

Well, at least you don't have a demon turning out your rear wiper/washer at any given notice....I haven't had time to trace the short, but I'll start where Kevin found his....In the meantime, I disconnected the rear washer fluid pump.

Check to make sure the line is not clogged or if the pump is disconnected.....

I had the same problem with mine. I took it in and they (dealer) said it was just clogged up with dirt and wax.

How do I check it, other than smiling and getting someone else to?

"It's the stupid screens that are on the pumps, they get clogged, especially if you use colored windshield fluid, on anything with soap in it. Here is how to fix it.

Remove the pumps from the tank and remove the tank. Under each rubber pump mount is a screen the size of a nickel, if they are beyond cleaning you can get replacements, otherwise wash them out and put it back together.

I still have a pair or pumps and nozzles, but so far every one I have seen is only clogged screens."
