How much did you pay for Lowering Springs Install???

Looking at doing the eibach lowering springs on my 01 w/ no air.

The springs are around $260 but i've been having problems finding someone to install for cheep.

Most prices im gettting are around $500-$600 for the install of the springs

What did you guys pay? Anybody in the denver/minneapolis area?

Thanks

Is this for 2 or 4 springs? I'm assuming 4 since you say you don't have air suspension...

If it's 4, that doesn't seem too out of line to me. Something like that must list at about 4 hours labor I would think....

Yup all 4 springs.

I paid $200 for 2 front springs and 2 rear end links

Are you happier with the Eibach's now?

Kris@modmynav 01-22-2007 06:52 PM

TQ2K,

I haven't had a chance to install Eibach springs yet still have H&R running now.
but will get installed anyday in this week. :D

I have a 00 X5 with air suspension. I bought Eibach springs for the front. I have an aftermarket repair facility that will lower the rear by computer this Wednesday. Does anyone recommend rear-end links rather than computer adjustment?

I'd recommend the end links instead. That way you can always take them out yourself.

hey, wuzin is Edgemotoworks at Hayward?? My brother brought his E46 M3 there to get it corner balance and get a alignment after the corner balance but when he got his car back the alignment was really off. He was driving home with the steering wheel a quarter to the side to make it straight.

He heard a lot of good reviews about that place, I guess no luck with that?

94502, they are located at Dublin

EDGE Motorworks
6443 Golden Gate Drive
Dublin, CA 94568
925.479.0797

It's like an hour far from my home but worth to drive,
and I've never had any problems with them

how long does it take to install the springs? are you just going to wait there? hmmm...you can take the BART home ;)

Thanks, my mistake. The name was very close and is located in Hayward.

I did mine with Eibach Pro Kit with all 4 springs (Non Adjustable Ride Height) and I got the springs for $189 selling on ebay but I got from them locally and I had the installation for $200 locally as well.

I didn't leave the car there, it took a little over an hour and that's it. $500-$600 for installation i think is way overboard.

Good Luck!

I paid 200 on my former 330 coupe...

Has anyone experienced a problem using endlinks instead of a computer to lower the vehicle? I need to know fast because my car is scheduled for the service Wednesday morning.

What's the difference between both options (links vs dis) ? I'd like to lower my X5 aswell, but I thought the rear was only possible via DIS ? (my car has rear air suspension).

bkran10 02-12-2007 04:47 PM

You can buy endlinks off of Ebay. DIS is done by computer by the Stealership or aftermarket, reputable mechanic shop. I lowered my an inch.

I sell adjustable endlinks. You can lower it to your likings. Then bring it back to stock height anytime. Don't waste you money at the dealer for a one time deal. These could possibly work on the front as well if you have air suspension up front. Realoem.com shows the same part number. I just haven't been able to find someone to try them out on the front. PM me for more info...

Sterling 02-27-2007 06:55 PM

how do you tell if you have the air suspension besides the controls to the left of the steering wheel? I don't think that I have the air suspension.

Kris@modmynav 02-27-2007 08:37 PM

Look in the spare tire compartment and if there is a large heavy tank under the tire with hoses going back to tanks on the left and right then you have the air suspension.

Hi Silver!
Could you be so kind to send me the photo of these Adjustable Endlinks?
I've got air suspension at back wheels (model 2000). Also need you to give me any reference of Springs for front wheels...
Thanks in advance mate ;)
