No slider on mine. 4 clips integrated into the plastic mirror mounting plate. Very hard to remove without cracking mirror. Not an issue if you are removing a broken one ...

There is a technique to this and it is pretty tricky the first time. Look at the PDF from vsx05 and I will try my best to explain how to do it.

1. use flat blade screwdriver with a protective cloth over it or a plastic interior trim removal tool (to protect the cover). I use the flat blade to separate the front case trim from the rear house housing. Some might tell you don't need to do this... I did, and always do as its just easier to do. A bit of wiggling is required with the screw driver (left and right) and it will pop.

2. remove front case trim by sliding out and then you have better access to the glass. The best way I can describe the mounting on the rear of the glass is four hooks that the mirror 'hangs' from and then all around the circular mounting point are claw hooks that will clip the mirror in place. Start at the bottom, from the 6 o'clock, I use my fingers around the back to release a couple of these, with a flat blade screwdriver in between the mirror and mount. Upward motion and the clips will release and then jiggle it in a upward motion again and try to get the blade under enough so you can bring the mirror towards you (about 5mm) and it will pop up and off.

3. The Plastic was pretty tough on the mountings, although try not to force it to much. I did it on a warm day.

4. To install the new glass,(don't forget to install your heating wires) I had to modify the slots for the four hooks to fit as I bought none OEM parts. I used an exacto knife to make the channels wider and a heat gun on the plastic to soften it slightly so it would attach.

5. Pop the front trim back on and you are good to go.
