Does your cabin fan run after the engine is shut off?

Even the very slightest drain (radar detector,satellite radio, or direct wired accessory) will prevent the vehicle from going to sleep mode and will drain a new battery afteer a few weeks then it will do it over about a 24hr period. orange dot stays on in sleep mode on my 02 model but this light could run for weeks on static electricity alone. charge you're battery and make sure nothing prevents sleep mod and you'll be A OK.:thumbup: BTW: leaving you're key in the ignition while in you're garage or driveway will prevent sleep mode, which most people do not even consider.

LED stays on on my 2001 even after 24 hours. I do not think the radio "turned on" automatically but rather kept the iBUS busy.

What confirms that my vehicle is in complete sleep mode? From the thread majority say it is not the orange light. Is there any other method to confirm the vehicle has completely slept?

Yes there is. See if you can check the Nav drive light (if you have Navigation). the light should go off. Any activity on the iBus will switch on the drive.

One way to check is to keep the side panel open and you should be able to see the Nav light via the rear window after you lock the truck. Check after a few hours.
