E70 wheels on an E53
 

Does anyone know if the E70 18" wheels will fit on an E53? The offset on the E53 48mm and the E70 is 46mm - my real concern is the bore size for the hub

From my quickly fading memory, hub bore size is
slightly larger on E70 wheels vs. E53:
reportedly 74.1 on E70 and 72.56 on E53.

I think an E53 wheel that one likes, could be machined
easily, to fit well on an E70. I suspect the reverse is
not practical, unless one found a good welder and grinding
man at that machine shop.

No dis, but I haven't seen any E70 wheels in
18" size, that I would jump up and down about.
