44 and loving life! For all of you young X5 owners out there, don't take what you have for granted. Most of you young X owners were given what you have by your parents and didn't have to work or sacrifice like most of us have. Feel fortunate that you get to experience the joys of driving a great car even if you didn't earn it. Sure, it would've been great to have my parents give me any kind of car when I was young but I had to work hard and save just to buy a rust-bucket. After 23 years of serving in the Air Force and gaining that experience I was offered a great civilian job in the anti-terrorism field. Now I feel I really deserved my brand new X and really appreciate what a great car it is. I hope you young owners don't have the attitude that you are better than that person that drives the Chevy Cavalier that earned his car. Just appreciate what you're driving and keep in mind that very few have been given what you were without earning it. I will never take anything in this life for granted, even my X5 and I hope you young owners never do either.

I'll be 25 in March, and the wife will be 25 in August. We have both worked very hard to be able to have the e46 and the e53 in the garage at home, not to mention to even have a home/garage to put them in to begin with. We both grew up in environments that forced us to earn everything that we have, and I'm not sure that I would trade that in for anything. It's nice to have that appreciation that one has for something that was well earned on ones own....

32 here paid cash for my first BMW when I was 21. I bought a 325i. I was working as a BMW & Porsche mechanic. I just sold it 2mo ago with 265k on it and still running strong. I've bought and sold a lot of cars but always kept it. I mainly went on a VW kick for the last 11yrs. But I now work for one of the countries biggest steel corporations and am doing better than ever so I decided to splurge alittle.
