Which Options do I have?

Hello All,

We just bought a 2005 X5 3.0i.

Is there a way to tell which options are included on this vehicle? The VIN doesn't really provide much information in the way of options installed.

Regards,

Marcus

Your dealer must have given you the window sticker with the manual. The window sticker lists all options and packages.

Your local dealer can supply a print out.
My service advisor did this for me at my last visit.

I purchased a used 2003 X5. The deal didn't offer a window sticker showing the options.

I'm familiar with a number of its options. PDC, NAV, Heated seats, Rear roof mounted DVD entertainment system.

However, I don't know it it has some of the more obscure options like Tire Pressure sensors, Brake Pad sensors, etc. Does it have X drive.... what it x drive anyway?

2003 does not have x-drive, or tire pressure monitor unless there is an RDC button next to the PDC button.

x-drive is able to vary the amount of torque that goes to each individual wheel

it does have brake sensors

(in the first post...you said 2005...so i'm unsure)

You are correct. My typo. We purchased a 2003.

Simple and sure ways to tell what options you have (for all years)

Packages:
Premium - leather or BC button on radio
Sport - black headliner, aluminum window sills
Cold Weather - heated seats
Rear Climate - privacy glass or temperature control on rear center console

Options:
Automatic Transmission - ...
Xenons - you can tell...
PDC - sensors...
Sport Seats - highly bolstered/shapely front seats
Comfort Seats - very large seats
Heated Steering Wheel - button near cruise control (I/O)
Rear Heated Seats - two buttons under rear vents
Navigation - obvious
Moonroof/Panoramic Roof - ...
Rear Air Suspension - compressor under spare tire
Adjustible Suspension - buttons right of the light controls
Premium Sound - DSP written next to Audio button
Servotronic - hmm...light steering feel...
Rear Sliding Floor - floor not flush with lower tailgate
Tire Pressure Monitor - RDC button next to PDC button
Rear Side Airbags - rear door upholstery has creases/sections with airbag symbol

these are all i can think of

Umm, you didn't ask this question prior to buying it?

Real quick, got a 3 spoke steering wheel and 19" wheels, then you probably have the sport package....

Got the DSP stereo and a Pana roof, probably have the premium package.
Got a heated steering wheel and headlight washers, probably have the cold weather package.
