Help with V28 Nav Perspective View
Hi. I just installed the V28 software and turned on perspective view from the hidden menu however it still displays in 2D mode. I have a MKIV with the 2007 Nav DVD.
My quesiton is how do I get the 3D perspective view to display? |
Enabling perspective (birds-eye view) with MKIV and v27 firmware or newer:
Push the "MENU" button to get to the the main menu. Scroll to the "SETTINGS" menu selection and click the knob to select it. Push and hold the "MENU" button for about 8 seconds to enter the GPS Service Menu. Scroll beyond the bottom to a 2nd page, where you will get the Perspective option. Click the knob on the Perspective option to select it. Go back to the map view and click the knob. Select 'Map Positioning' then 'Perspective' |

Just did mine. 'Map positioning' did the trick. After having driven with map poining north will have to get used to direction of travel. Cool feature.

Yep ... that was the step I missed. Thanks! Sucks that the street names/numbers disappear so i'll have to research that issue now ...
