Yay got stuck in snow

the 1-2 inches of snow/ice freezing rain was not a problem

The problem is I live on a side-street so they stack up all the snow from the street at the front of my street and they don't clean it up.

So I'm driving thinking I got it then I get to the top of the hill to turn onto the main street and I realize I am stuck with my nose into the main street.

I see truck drivers laughing at me and I am like how in the world did I get stuck.

.. well there was like 1.5 feet of piled up snow there!
Thank you county truck plowers! My driveway is 1/8 of a mile long so I didn't realize there was that much snow there until I hit it.

This is a good topic. Even with an SUV and AWD it doesn't automatically mean you won't get stuck. You'll also need the the proper driving skills to tackle this type of condition.

But I do hope you got out.

Snow tires or not?

Aimster 02-14-2007 06:49 PM

no snow tires but the snow was deep, and it was hard snow. It was more like 1.5 feet of hard ice/snow mixed together.

Would snow tired have helped at all?
