Third Party Warranty
Hi all,
My CPO expires in 20K miles or by June or July. Can anyone recommend any company who may offer a good extended warranty program? Thanks in advance. Paul |
I think some members here have been happy with Warranty Direct.

For those of us in California, warrantydirect is currently not offering anything. I've been checking every week since the new year and they still don't have coverage for California yet. =(
My 4/50 is up in may but I don't need the BMW 2 year 50k miles, since I'm only at 46k now. I still have some time left, so I'm waiting to see what warrantydirect has to offer. In the meantime, can some of you who have purchased warrantydirect let us know how much it costs and how many years and miles it covers? Thanks. |

I ran some assumptions on Warranty directs web site and this is what came back for their "Major Care Plan" - for big ticket items
Your Vehicle 2001 BMW X5 (6 Cylinder) Your Vehicle Mileage 80,000 Vehicle In-Service Date 06/15/2001 Term/Miles 13 Months / 13,000 Miles 3/15/2008 93,000 Miles $2,842 ($0 deductible) $2,617 ($100 deductible) 25 Months / 25,000 Miles 3/15/2009 105,000 Miles $3,883 ($0 deductible) $3,633 ($100 deductible) It did not give the option for the more extensive "Extra Care Plan" because there is an eligibility criteria - "Vehicles that are 4-7 model years old or newer models with between 50,000 and 75,00 miles." Disclaimer - I don't have any affiliation with Warranty Direct so do your own research - I'm just bored at work:thumbup: https://www.warrantydirect.com/ |
