New Mod : Tacho Rings
2 Attachment(s)
Just did this today, had a bit of problem opening the case, but got to it eventually after trying different tricks:) The rings are very good quality. Got them on Ebay germany for 29 euro. They are not from plastic, but solid aluminium. When I mounted them, they clicked in right away, but they didn't stay 'rock solid' in place. You could still turn them around a bit inside the plastic holes of the casing. But once you put the 2 parts of the tacho housing together, they got stuck and nothing rattled at all. Hopefully you can all understand what I'm saying here:)

I know exactly what you mean - I've done this mod too. I forget which ones I bought now, but they snapped in very tightly even before I snapped everything back together - no glue or anything like that. Nice job - looks great! Great bang for the buck with this mod!

Which is the seller or ebay store where you have bought them? Thanks |
was the rings titanium/aluminum look or chromed/polished stainless?
I saw someone with rings with "click", is that the one? |
Looks great!

you can buy from Barvarian Motor Works for $30 for the chrome-look aluminum ones

"mit click" I translate to "snap-in".

okay...i think i get what you mean...
if they just snap on without the use of an adhesive... the good quality rings are slightly larger than the actual circle on the gauges. so they 'click' on and fit very snug  |

They were solid metal ! No plastic! |
Very nice Hans! I got mine from another eBay merchant but they are also aluminum, not plastic. I had to do some filing to make them fit.
