the only problem is that when i spray onto the car, it splashes everywhere, and i'm too lazy to wipe it off :drinking:

Here are the details:

purchased from progrille off of motors.ebay.com for about $25, i bought 2 sets (expensive, i know, why not just buy a titanium grille for $50)

each insert is longer than the actual slats, so you have to trim them

the adhesive already included in the inserts are horrible, they'll just melt and will not stick due to the engine heat

you should clean your slats completely and sand them a little (something i didn't really do)

lay all the strips according to the respective size of the grille slats

get a hot glue gun, or krazy glue (but if you mess up, it's going to be difficult to fix) and apply the glue on the slats and not the inserts (you'll burn yourself :flame:

why i chose this 'ghetto' way is because the titanium slats aren't that noticable on the pre-facelift models. also they give each slat a wider appearance. and most important of all...they're shiny... :D:D:D

...i think that's mostly it...

You can do the same thing with chrome door edge. It's the stuff that you get at autozone and just sticks to the edge of you door. Just cut it to length and spread them abit.

Next mod should be to delete you seatbelt reminder sticker on your visor. Makes the interior look hella nice

Hey Wabbit - Agree w/ QS on the free promotional ads...unless you own the dealer, I'd lose 'em.

Nice looking mod. Better than I expected when I read the subject line. Not bad at all.

i didn't know you guys were so anti-dealer :D

well...i had an inkling when everybody says stealer and bash on most of the dealerships...

...sractch that...recommend any frames

Looks good, wabbit!

noncom23 02-19-2007 05:46 PM

Prob not bashing. Just cleaning up the look a little.
I like the BMW frames at the STLR with chrome
bolt covers. You need 4 bolts to stop
the rattle.
