Ah, I am sorry. I forgot that the facelifted 4.4 has the filter on the bottom. I have a pre-face lift 4.4 with the filter on the top, so that is what I think of when I hear 4.4. Just like when I think of the alternator for the 4.4 I think of my water cooled version while the facelift 4.4 is different as well.

No apologies needed. Those bmw engineers know the diy community is huge and need to throw in a zinger every now and then to keep us on our toes. The funny thing is I think many of us actually appreciate the challenge!

I was told that the doors are not available separately. You can only get them when you buy the entire shield/stiffener...
