Heater Problem?
 

Guys the Truck is off, the heaters are off. The heaters still turn on after shutdown! killed my battery last night and they still turn on! the front window defroster vent shoots air out with the vehicle off! anyone help? 4.4is 2001

Do a search on the final stage resistor. Here's a DIY link:

I had to replace three on my old 540 and they just replaced on in my x5 right before delivery to me last week. This is a very common problem and is pretty easy to do it yourself.

bmwe53fan has your problem pegged - the symptoms are related to the final stage resistor failure.
