low temp gauge

is this normal that my temp gauge is not in the middle in normal driving. its like its in 11 oclock position, sometimes it goes in the middle, is this normal. i have 02 bmw x5, do i need coolant flush?

It should be okay since it's technically in its "normal operating temp" position between the cold and hot. However, does the vehicle drive any differently?

drives fine...just that get used to look at it in the middle.

should be in the middle in summer,

You should be fine. As long as it does not go too far one way.

Have the real operating temp read by a scanner in real time. The guage is just a fancy idiot light. If it does not read 12:00 then you may have a problem.
