Wood Trim

Is it possible to order single pieces of the interior wood trim. We've got some small hairline cracks in the driver-side door piece. Is the removal/installation particularly difficult? I'm guessing it's really more of a finesse job. Thanks:thumbup:

Yes, it is possible to order single pieces. You can pop up all the wood trim pieces except the center console. Bye

I think those wood trim part numbers are not for wood trim, but actually for the imola red trim that was available on the 4.6/4.8is's. Perhaps he was just pointing out that they could be ordered individually. A flathead screwdriver is all you need, just don't pry too hard ;)

The wood trim can be difficult to match. I had to drive it up there and show 'em...

:iagree: better safe than sorry, although you only have 3 choices of "wood" ... dark poplar, light poplar, and anthracite maple ....

So I called the dealer today to check on availability/price. The parts manager quoted $168USD for driver-side door panel replacement. Is this a little high, doesn't the entire set go for somewhere around $500USD? Thanks.

My right upper dash and lower console pieces have hairline cracks (2000 4.4 X5)

Are there any aftermarket replacements that are decent quality? I would like to replace all of the wood with an aluminum looking trim.

I've searched the web...but most of the stuff I have found looks like cheapo garbage.
