1 more maintenance plan question

I am at 49,500 miles at the moment. Must I sign up for the BMW 2 year/50k extended plan while I am still under the original 50,000 miles or is it an option to sign up when I need it.

you need to sign up before you 4/50 maintainance plan expires.

btw, you should expect to pay around $1195+ tax for it. Don't get tricked into paying more for it as I was. denville bmw charged me $2095 when i purchased the car..
