CD Changer
We just got our 00 X5. I've searched the forum but can't find the answer.
I CD changer cartridge ejected fine yesterday. Today it won't eject. I checked the fuse (30 amp in position 72 on right rear of car). The fuse is fine. Is there a way to manually eject the cartridge or is there something else I should check. Thanks |
As far as I know there is only one way out...disconnect the changer and unscrew the bolts to open it up...most probably the CDs have moved and stuck somewhere...

I've been having battery problems... but I think it has to do with the Final Stage Resistor running the system down.
I have the resistor on order should be here next week. I replaced that battery today (figuring it was about time because the car is a 2000 and I figured it was the original) After buying the new battery... and taking out the old one... I found a sticker on the old battery saying 10/06. I guess the battery should have been fine...since it was nearly new... I guess it was just run down. While the battery was low... I couldn't get the CD Changer to eject the cartridge. Now with the new battery it ejects and functions fine. New problem with the changer... the regular radio sounds great even at high volume. The signal from the CD changer makes the speakers sound like the are blown. Any amount of volume makes it worse. Any ideas? |
Make sure the CD players door is open all the way. This is a common problem for a lot of people.
