JFW, I also have the 3.0 diesel X5, and when you take into account that it has the has performance as the 3.0i, ie same top end and also same 0-62 of 8.3 seconds (8.8 auto) yet will give 10 mpg better I really can't understand why people take the 3.0i over the diesel and also why BMW wont sell in on the US market.
