larger tires?
 

my 01 x5 3.0 5 spd seems to run like it wants go to a bigger gear
when i am in 5 th and running 70-90. i have 295-40-20 all over and would like to go to a bigger tire [greater diameter]. does this make sense? if so how much larger can i go and still have some throttle? thanks in advance, roadkingdoc

I have General Grabbers 295 / 45 / 20's on my 06 and I'd like to go a little bigger also. If I really crank the wheel and when backing up my front tires barely rub on something up there. but, I have the aero package too so that might be why.

Largest diameter I've seen around here was a 22-23" rim. Largest tire size, width wise, was the 315mm.
