Time in Cluster
Ever since inspection II has been done, wev been having this problem, that there is nothing in the instrument cluster when we start the car up. youd have to manually push the BC button on the turn signal stalk to get anything. Any thoughts?

Some of the earlier MY03 X5's have this problem as well, and some later model X5's do not have this problem. Can't really tell what has been changed to make this happen though.

I thougth all X5's were like that. You mean you can have the BC always show something w/o having to push the buttom every time you start the car? Mine has never shown anything there without pushing the button.

(2) X5's and counting and I've always had to push the remote.....the only things that come up automatically
are faults and time...(if you have memo on).....Phil |

guys.. it's a extended key memory setting along with the key memory module update in 03. I beleive there was a TSB for this. I also had the same module updated in my M5 and it will remember my last BC setting.. talk to your service advisor.
